Bakwé Mission Update / Leidenfrosts November 2016
“Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.” Hebrews 13.18, NASB
Thank you for your prayers for Csaba’s trip in September. He and his Bakwé colleagues were able to get four more NT books of the Bakwé translation verse-by-verse-checked by a Wycliffe consultant. His trip into the village went very well too. It was good to see old friends and worship on Sunday with older Bakwé Christians and some brandnew ones. The church is growing in Bakwé country! Pastor Firmain is currently overseeing 3 church plants and planning a 4th.
November Trip
Csaba heads out to Côte d’Ivoire on November 3rd for another month to work with his Bakwé colleagues. They checked Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and 1st Peter last trip. This trip they will be checking the Bakwé translation of Hebrews.
Csaba will not travel out to the village this trip. He and the team will be in Abidjan the whole time. Please pray again for God’s protection over the whole checking process, that nothing would hinder the checking sessions, and that all gathered around the translation being checked would be impacted by it. Pray also for Lisa, who will remain back in Idaho running the home.
Once again, thank you for your partnership in bringing the Word of God to the Bakwé in the language they understand best.
With you, in His service,
In Christ,
Csaba and Lisa Leidenfrost

Bakwé Mission Update / Leidenfrosts July 2016
Last book of the NT!
We are finishing up the translation of the last book of the New Testament – Matthew! Yes, we saved Matthew for last. I have been having fun harmonizing all the places where the Greek is the same in the other gospels, and revising some passages in those earlier translations. After Matthew there will be much to do in preparing the manuscript for typesetting and printing. Nevertheless, the end is in site! Thank you for your partnership!
The process of getting the translation ready for publication includes having a verse-by-verse check with a Wycliffe translation consultant on our remaining books. In September I will be out in Côte d’Ivoire with the Bakwé team getting a bunch of books checked – Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Peter, Jude, and maybe Hebrews. Lord willing, by June next year we should be able to get the last books checked – Titus, Revelation, Matthew.
Literacy Promotion in July
Please be praying for Pastor Firmain as he visits six Bakwé villages to promote our Reading and Writing Primer in the Nyragbi Dɛplɛɛ Dialect of Bakwé. We continue to promote literacy classes throughout the Bakwé area as we prepare people for the coming of the New Testament.
Prayer
Thank you for praying for us and the progress of the work. Please pray for a successful consultant session in September. Many in our village are coming down with typhoid fever as the wells have dried up and clean drinking water is hard to find. All three men, Alexis, Firmain, and Perez have contracted typhoid this year. Please pray for their health, and for a clean drinking water solution in the village. I am networking and trying to find a well drilling humanitarian organization in the country that could come into our area and drill a few wells.
As always, thank you for your partnership in bringing the Word to the Bakwé people of western Côte d’Ivoire!
In Christ,
Csaba and Lisa Leidenfrost
