A Brief Word on Our Scandals

Christ Church has dealt with a few situations over the last 10 or so years which have generated a good deal of controversy, scandal, & challenge into our midst. We have certainly endeavored to handle these with wisdom, humility, truth, and love. Often, however, such efforts are misconstrued. Over the years, these situations have been used by those who oppose the ministry and work of Christ Church in order to undermine and hinder our Gospel labors.

Throughout these various situations and the frequent turmoil that arises, we’ve sought to remain loving, gentle, peaceable, and easy to be intreated (Jas. 3:17). However, we have sought to be loving biblically, peaceable biblically, and humble biblically; this being the case, Christ Church’s detractors have often wildly misinterpreted our efforts and communications on these scandals, twisting our intent and actions into caricatures of the people and events involved.
